While we fully understand that you may have concerns regarding the possible impact that the COVID-19 pandemic could continue to have on travel arrangements, travel advice can change at relatively short notice and it's obviously impossible to say what restrictions may, or may not be in place in the coming months.
As we act as a booking agent on behalf of the owners of the properties we feature within our portfolio, any amendment to our standard Booking Terms + Conditions and cancellation policy, is at the sole discretion of the relevant property owner concerned. However, as we did throughout the 2020 and 2021 seasons, we will endeavour to work very closely with our owners throughout 2022 to find satisfactory and fair solutions should any of our guests’ travel plans be disrupted by government imposed travel restrictions as a result of the pandemic.
If you are looking to book a particular property with us for 2022, but are concerned about continuing uncertainty relating to travel and COVID-19, please let us know and we will be happy to liaise with the property owner on your behalf to establish if they're willing to apply any special terms in the event that you are unable to travel owing to government imposed travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Depending on the circumstances and the individual property owner, this will usually involve deferment of your payment to a future date at the same accommodation (subject to availability and at the rates relevant to your revised dates) or, in some cases and under certain conditions, a refund might be offered (less the deduction of any payment processing fees if you made your payment to us by card). Please note that any special terms will be at the sole discretion of the relevant owner and policies vary from owner to owner. If any special terms are agreed by the owner, these will be clearly outlined to you prior to you confirming a booking with us.
Although a degree of flexibility can almost certainly be offered in the event that government imposed travel bans are implemented, if you, or any member of your party are unable to arrive as planned as a result of a positive Covid-19 test prior to your arrival and you cancel your booking for this reason, normal cancellation charges apply and you will need to cover your losses via your travel insurance policy.
Similarly, should any member of your party need to isolate as a result of contracting Covid-19 during your stay, the cost of any additional nights added to your stay would be charged to you at the normal nightly rate for the relevant period. You will need to seek reimbursement for this, and any other additional expenses incurred via your travel insurance policy. Please also note that while we will do our very best to assist you in these circumstances, we reserve the right to refuse an extension to your booking if there are other guests due to arrive at the property.
It is therefore imperative that you check the terms of your travel insurance carefully and to ensure that you have a comprehensive policy in place (to cover all members of your party) as soon as you make your booking.
