The dramatic Villa Toros, surrounded by the beautiful Taurus mountains, overlooks Kalkan bay on the Mediterranean Turquoise Coast – luxurious, very spacious and with breath-taking and uninterrupted views of the mountains and the sea, the stone-clad villa is the perfect holiday retreat for families or groups of friends looking for privacy and space to unwind, relax and play in a beautiful, sunny and very friendly Turkish seaside village.

Most unusually, Villa Toros has beautiful wooded hillside on three sides and is private, not being directly overlooked by other villas – there is a breath-takingly theatrical sense of light and space when you first step onto the ground floor open-plan living space and you immediately become awarVilla e of the most stunning views on all sides, providing a natural scenic backcloth to your villa holiday.

Boasting a spectacular twenty foot high glazed living area, the Scandi-Coastal interior features bespoke furniture and original art that, with the high ceilings, tall, dramatic low solar-e windows and a galleried floors, gives fantastic views of Kalkan Bay, the town and the surrounding mountains at all times of the day and starlit night – just amazing!

Outdoors, the infinity pool and spacious sun terraces, with a large shaded dining area and traditional BBQ, are all surrounded by beautiful gardens with colourful shrubs, fruit trees and plentiful shaded areas, making life equally relaxing and private.

THE SPACE

Villa Toros has over 4,500 ft2 of living space - it is private, comfortable and very spacious.

The villa sleeps ten people in five large air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms (four of which have their own terraces) which are all fitted with beautiful comfy hand-made timber-framed beds, complimented with luxurious pillows, linens, fluffy towels and black-out curtains for deep sleep at night.

Due to its superb elevated south-facing position, Villa Toros has uninterrupted sunshine and is probably one of the last places to see the sunset each evening - this combined with parking for six cars, a fifteen minute walk to the Thursday market and start of the restaurant area, makes it the ideal location for the perfect holiday.

The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Ground floor:

The Villa is accessed from the private driveway through a beautiful front door, leading into the entrance hall with rest-room and the huge glazed open-plan living space, which is flooded with light and incorporates a lounge area with a comfy L-shaped sofa, hanging seat and Ercol chairs, a fireplace and four sets of large sliding / folding doors - these bring the surrounding terraces into the villa with outdoor seats, coffee table and the pool with beautiful views out to sea - perfect for a sneaky early morning coffee and read of a newspaper or pre-dinner drinks. Amazon Echo provides background music and entertainment of your choice.

Stone steps lead up to the circular cushion-seated lounge area with a large 65" flat screen TV, Netflix and Digibox (with all UK channels including Sky, BT and those for most other countries), books, games and DVD’s.

A  few more stone steps lead to both the modern spacious open-plan kitchen equipped with modern appliances and kitchenware and the dining area, with a fabulous extra-large chunky solid wood dining table with seating for ten - perfect for family gatherings, lazy lunches and sundown suppers.

All areas have breath-taking sea views.

Lower ground floor:

A very large, cool air-conditioned en-suite twin bedroom with two standard double beds has a dressing area to the rear with bespoke hanging rail and shelves and a bath / shower room.

An equally large games room equipped with table tennis, table football, TV screen (with DVD & HDMI cable for streamed entertainment – no live TV available), chairs and tables - perfect for youngsters and those looking for 'time out' from the sun.

A separate utility room with a washing machine and washing lines for guests to do their laundry, has a travel cot and highchair available for baby’s use.

Open-tread stairs from the dining area lead to the:

First floor:

A strikingly wide and airy galleried landing overlooks the lounges and leads to the spectacular first-floor balcony overlooking the swimming pool - a fabulous spot for night-time stargazing through the telescope.

From the landing, there are two double en-suite bedrooms:

The large air-conditioned en-suite master bedroom has an Emperor-sized bed and wide opening curtained windows which flood the room with light and give a stunning view over the swimming pool with views of the town and the Mediterranean, perfectly capturing the view of Kalkan's Snake and Mouse islands. It has a dressing room to the rear with bespoke hanging rail and shelves and a huge "wet-room’ that overlooks the sea. Amazon Echo again provides background music and entertainment of your choice.

The second air-conditioned & cosy en-suite bedroom has a double bed, is simply furnished and has a private shower room. A wide curtained glazed window and door leads onto a large balcony with chairs and views to the mountains at the rear of the villa.

Second floor:

The landing leads out to the stunning roof terrace which is furnished with a wooden sun-loungers, table and chairs and is fabulous for sunbathing and evening drinks and nibbles whilst watching the sunset.  

This roof floor has two large air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, shower room, bespoke hanging rails and shelves and wide opening curtained windows with stunning views of the town and the Mediterranean.

Please note that one of these bedrooms is built into the eaves and has limited ceiling height in some areas. 

Outside Space:

The surrounding terraces, with their all-day sunshine, were one of the key criteria when the owners selected this villa over many others and have been designed to comfortably accommodate guests in several shaded sunbathing areas.

The private infinity pool terrace is furnished with ten teak cushioned sunbeds and parasols as well as four outdoor cushioned chairs and coffee table. The pool incorporates a shallow seating / stepped area and is approximately 9.75 x 4.5 metres - depth ranges from 1.13 - 1.60 metres (the pool can be heated for an additional charge - please ask for details).

A shaded alfresco dining area, with traditional handbuilt stone charcoal BBQ and a huge, chunky, wooden table offering seating for ten guests, has been created in the coolness of the elevated and shaded planted terrace, a perfect spot for relaxing away from the midday sun or for entertaining.

PLEASE NOTE: The Villa has an unfenced swimming pool, an open-tread staircase, many hard stone surfaces and high balconies. We request that children under 18 must be supervised by their parents/guardians at all times.
